They wrote thesis to journal of British medical Science. Dr.Sinagwakane, professor of Japan Medical University, Mr. Kawano and Mr. Osisewbi did some research and made a report to the 68th Conference of Japan Physiology Association in Kyoto.

What are the benefits of starting early?

How long does it take for a child to learn mental math?

Our Mental Math program is a very structured program. There are 10 levels in all, and each level takes an estimated three months to complete. A lot of parents may observe improvement in math performance after completion of Level, but it takes time for the program to complete and receive all the permanent benefits associated with this program.

How does abacus mental math help the school work?

Children learn numbers by counting on their fingers, and it becomes very challenging to comprehend the numbers beyond the number 10. Abacus helps children overcome this problem by presenting the numbers and their relationships as concrete beads instead of the abstract method used for regular mathematics.

Yes, the children are expected to complete their homework which they get after each class. Regular practice ensures timely completion of each level.

·     What is Abacus mental math?

Abacus mental math uses abacus as a manipulative to perform arithmetic operations. A child who has learned abacus techniques can handle series of about five digit numbers using the four basic operations of mathematics i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. And all this is done mentally, without using a calculator.

How many classes are conducted in a week?

1 and half hour/1 hour 45 minutes class is conducted once in a week for each batch. The batch timings are such that they do not clash with the school timings.

How many levels in the program?

There are 10 levels. Entry level depends on the age of the child.

What is the duration of each level?

Each level takes an estimated 3 months to complete.

Do you also conduct competitions?

Yes, we do conduct annual Abacus competitions at national and international level.

When does my child get promoted to the next level? Are any certificates given?

An assessment is conducted at the end of every level. On successful completion of the level , the child will be promoted to the next level and a certificate of successful completion is awarded.
